Nicolosi lies at 700m above sea level and is the village where the road starts that leads to many of the tours you can take around Mount Etna. It is also only 15 kms from Catania, of which 10 kms are along a convenient dual-carriageway, and 18 kms from the beautiful sea-coast at Acitrezza and Acicastello. Il Boschetto lies in a cool residential area just outside the village, and is a nice detached house surrounded by a private garden, with tall trees and a terrace with a pergola and a barbecue, furnished for dining outside. The furnishings are in modern style and very attractive, and the house is equipped with heating, telephone, dishwasher, washing-machine, TV and stereo with CD-player. In the summer months, the villages around Etna offer a series of interesting traditional festivals and shows, and there you will often discover typical local restaurants where you can try the old sicilian cuisine, which is completely different from the cuisine on the coast. It is ideal for those who want a holiday in complete tranquillity in the cooler climate up in the hills, with the possibility of reaching the coast in less than half-an-hour by car and with many interesting trips nearby to the sicilian centres of culture.
