Upon entering the privacy-gated grounds, guests are welcomed into a wonderland of walkways that meander past reflecting pools and Chinese gardens, through teak double doors to an interior great room which has 30 foot tall, retractable doors that open to the heated lap pool, poolside spa and the yoga pavilion overlooking the ocean and the beach. The Empress features a harmonious blend of contemporary architectural design and Asian-motif furnishings with all the creature comforts befitting a luxury resort. West Maui airport is less than 10 minutes away for easy access to/from the neighbor islands.
